Why Haley Box Is a Name to Know in Women's Hockey
37 goals, 29 assists, and 66 points in 45 games. The Etobicoke Dolphins forward is having the best offensive season of her junior career.
Haley came to the Dolphins, the top program in the U22 Elite league, after developing at Shattuck-St. Mary’s, one of the most respected player development programs in North American hockey. The step up hasn’t slowed her down. She’s a dynamic, fast forward who plays an aggressive game and is confident with and without the puck, and she’s producing at nearly 1.5 points per game, the strongest output of her junior career.
“Haley Box and the Moment That Changed Everything”
The production is consistent with her international track record. Haley is a three-time U18 Women’s World Championship medallist with Team USA, collecting two golds and a silver. She also suited up for the 2024 Under-18 Series against Canada, one of the key proving grounds in the American development pipeline.
She’s committed to the University of Wisconsin for 2026-27, where she’ll join one of the most competitive programs in NCAA women’s hockey.
On this week’s episode of Rinkside Rundown, Haley talks about her development path, what drew her to Etobicoke, and what her game looks like heading into Wisconsin. The full episode is available now on YouTube.
